Subscribing
Our subscription form asks for your name and email address. These details are used to create and manage your membership and deliver the newsletters you choose to receive. You can read public articles without subscribing.
Website and email statistics
Ghost’s built-in website analytics are enabled. They help us understand visits and readership. Ghost describes its native web analytics as cookie-free; this does not mean every feature of the website is free of cookies or local storage.
Email-open and link-click statistics are also enabled for newsletters. These indicate whether newsletter messages were opened and which links were clicked. Member-source tracking records where subscriptions came from. These statistics help assess readership and newsletter performance.
Service providers and external links
The website and membership features are provided through Ghost. Hosting and email delivery involve service providers processing information for those features. Their handling of data is described in Ghost’s privacy policy.
Links to other websites, and third-party media where embedded, may be subject to those providers’ privacy practices. Check their policies when using their services.
Your choices
Use the unsubscribe link in a newsletter to stop newsletter delivery. You can use the member sign-in and account options to manage available subscription preferences. Unsubscribing from emails does not necessarily delete a membership record.
Access, correction and privacy questions
You can request access to, or correction of, personal information held about you. Learn about these rights from the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner.
The planned editorial contact is editor@asianinsider.co.nz. Its mailbox is not yet confirmed as operational. A working privacy contact channel and further details about retention will be added when confirmed. Please do not send identity documents or other sensitive records to the planned address.
